Armenia discussing recent regional developments and possibilities for future cooperation in Slovakia

On February 14 – 17, 2023, the vice president of the Centre for Policy Studies in Yerevan (CPS) Mr. Armen Grigoryan, visited the Slovak Republic to discuss the current political situation in Armenia and future cooperation with Slovakia.

During the four-day visit to Slovakia, he visited Banska Bystrica and Bratislava, where the Strategic Analysis Think Tank helped the CPS to organise the following meetings in Bratislava:

  • Briefing for the experts from the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia on the security dynamics in the South Caucasus region after Russia’s aggression against Ukraine
  • Discussion with Mr. Tomáš Bokor, Director of SlovakAid, about the possibilities and needs of Armenia regarding development assistance and cooperation
  • Meeting with Mr. Matej Drotár, from the East Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, discussing the latest development in Armenia and in the region
  • Meeting with Ms. Katarina Klingova from the GLOBSEC think tank discussing the problem of disinformation, especially in the context of Russia’s disinformation campaigns in the South Caucasus and Europe post-FEB 24, 2022

These activities were supported by the European Union within the framework of the Mobility Fund for CSO Experts within the Black Sea Region, implemented by the Romanian NGDO Platform – FOND as the main coordinator of the Black Sea NGO Forum, in the context of the EU-funded project “Building CSO Capacity for Regional Cooperation within the Black Sea Region”.
